28/05/09 The Didsbury Beer Festival Organising Committee will be attending the 2009 Stockport Beer Festival to promote this years event.  Flyers have been printed and will be distribute (and a few beers may be dunk as well).  If you see one of the Committee Members handing out flyers, feel free to approach them to discuss the festival and perhaps take a few Flyers to post at work or in your local shop.

28/03/09 The Didsbury Beer Festival Organising Committee has re-convene to plan the 2009 Festival.  Meetings will be held at St. Cathrine’s Social Club as usual.  If you fancy coming along and getting involved then feel free to contact one of the existing committee members to find out when the next meeting will be.

10/08/09 Plans are underway to have more room at this year’s festival and more beer.  St Catherine’s is being re-furbished and there will be additional marquee space.

A wider range of Lakeland beers is planned and new breweries will be included.

Festival News

1st Oct 2009: There will be over 90 beers from 19 local breweries and 14 lakeland breweries. The list of beers we plan to include will be published soon.

The first beer was collected from 3Rivers. A barrel of their GMT was delivered by transporting it along the river Mersey in a canoe. (see pictures)  and press report.
